Mari Hulik, Louvre copyist and Parsons Assoc. Director, presented a historical overview of the fine art of portraiture. This one-hour lecture and slide presentation took place in the gallery at SoundWaters Community Center. Attendees where challenged to ask themselves "Why paint the portrait?" as answers through history were reviewed...
Outdoor Live Model Session: Saturday August 17, 1pm to 4pm. Public viewed CSOPA artists at work. Painting "en plein air" challenged CSOPA members to paint using natural light.
Teen Model, Colleen Rose, was inspiring. She also appears in the September issue of "17 Magazine."
