The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists (CSOPA) is proud to return to the beautiful Bendheim Gallery with more than fifty fabulous portraits selected from area professionals. The opening reception on Friday February 8 has a Valentine Theme. This tradition began with our first winter show because we believe "There is no greater way to honor someone you love than with a commissioned portrait." (Jeanine Jackson, CSOPA Founder and President Emerita) The setting is elegant, the mood is romantic, the appetizers are delicious, and the portraits are quite literally, the best!.Red attire for the opening is - of course - optional, but lots of fun, so we encourage you to get in the spirit of the evening by donning the color of passion.

Testimonials from attendees and faculty:

Mario;

It was a wonderful experience this weekend and I thank you for allowing Dan and I to be a part of it--such a pleasure being among colleagues!
All the best,
Wende Caporale

Mario,

Thank you for letting us PSA members know about the workshop on the Boston School of Portraiture that you organized this past weekend.   The two days I attended were full of excellent lectures, demonstrations and critiques -- worth far more than the cost of the tuition and train trips to Greenwich and back.  I learned an enormous amount from your first-rate faculty, and especially enjoyed the 6-to-1 student-teacher ratio, which gave plenty of time for informal discussions with all of them.  I also enjoyed all the kindred spirits/serious painters in the CSOPA group.  Bravo on a job well done.

Betsy Finley Ashton,Artist/Writer

Hi Jeanine,

It was a wonderful weekend, the committee did a fantastic job and I can not say enough good things about the faculty and their commitment to helping us as an organization and as individual artists trying to advance our skills .They were most engaging and their generosity was very much appreciated. Best luck to all for future successes.

Sincerely

Sandy

The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artist holds a workshop like this every two years.  Don't miss the next one!
